I got the idea to start this blog last night when I took another picture of the sunset from my hotel in Guam. I travel all the time for work, but Guam is by far the most exciting and exotic place work or pleasure has ever taken me. I realized how different life was on this little island than back on the mainland, and how few people realize the stark disparity. Most people don't even realize I'm on a remote island in the Pacific 1400 miles east of the Philippines, 1600 miles north of Papua New Guinea, and 3800 miles southwest of Hawaii. Heck, one of my friends even thought I was in the Caribbean. More of you probably do, but only one actually said that out loud.
So 24 hours of flights and two weeks of living on the island later, I come to think... Hey!? Who WOULDN'T want to be subjected to the thoughts of a random guy making random observations!! Luckily for you, I had the solution of starting this to document my travels and observations.
Plus I know it'll make my mother very happy when I post.
